In fact, complete tooth loss has decreased by more than 75% in adults 65 to 75 years old over the past five decades. This shows that there is more awareness about dental care and people are taking better care of their teeth.

Absolutely, chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer can increase the risk of tooth loss. For instance, diabetes can lead to gum disease, which is one of the main causes of tooth loss. Similarly, cancer treatments like chemotherapy or radiation can damage the teeth and gums, leading to tooth loss. Other factors that can influence tooth loss include poor dental hygiene, smoking, and a diet high in sugar and carbohydrates.
